Ever thought about Karma? What you do dictates what happens to you. So if your nice to someone, is some one nice to you. Could you be nice to someone on a thursday and get a great friday night? Not spiritual you may say. Or, if you are particularly cunning and dishonest for a while, could you end up in politics or working for the inland revenue. Or are those sort of jobs for people who have done something that was unforgiveable.
Unfortunateley for the materialist, Karma does not work like that. It teaches you a lesson and people who keep repeating the same old crazy behaviour in life can't seem to see it,or they just dont care. If you forget about what you want, the chances are, you'll be able to see what you need. The minute you try to control it for your own ends, is when you end up with no control over your own destiny at all.
If you want a friend,be a friend,but you don't have to be everyone's friend. Don't get me wrong, helping people is cool,but some people just want to use you as an emotional skate board,and will ride you into the ground if you let them.
I guess that's how karma works. Don't be a slave or a slave driver,and you won't end up as either. Somtimes when I'm sitting on the sidelines and I'm not acting the goat in one of life's many dramas, I find it all very funny,and other times I find the world more miraculous and awesomely more complicated than I ever dared to believe.

If life was always as you expected it,then no doubt you'd think you were in complete control of it,which would be bad karma indeed.It seems that to make things happen we must let go and engage with the flow of the ultimate,which is nearley always unpredictable.If we force our hand the result is expected usually a slap in the preverbial face.

I a great believer in Karma hun. My mantra is 'what goes around, comes around'.
I know I haven't always lived by this; and still sometimes find it a struggle.
But I did notice even with my mum; when I let everything alone and let it all go quiet; she did end up contacting me. so I really do think there is something in it. -
